What Happens When Critical Infrastructure Has No Real Time Data Access?

Government utilities are increasingly exploring how AI can support real time operations across complex, distributed infrastructure. But moving from experimentation to deployment raises a different set of questions: Where should data be processed? How can sensitive operational information remain under government control? And what changes when AI needs to take action in the physical world?
 
This session examines those questions through the experience of a national water management implementation in Saudi Arabia, which grew from an initial pilot to more than 80 locations. The speakers will share the operational challenge, the choices made during implementation, how the deployment evolved as it scaled, and the outcomes observed across areas such as water quality monitoring, tanker operations and distribution analytics.
