Barry Kong is the Executive Director of the Open Government and Portals Division, Office of the Chief Information Officer at the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat. Serving citizens is Barry’s passion where he is working to mainstream inclusion, integrity, accountability, transparency, and civic participation in government while managing Canada’s Open Government and Open Data Portal and Access to Information Privacy Digital Service. His career in the public service includes the Canada Border Services Agency, where he held various roles in operations, policies, programs and projects in Vancouver and in Ottawa.
