Yannick Newton works at the intersection of digital government, public infrastructure, and intergovernmental cooperation, helping Canada’s governments build the common capabilities needed for a digital future.

As Director of Intergovernmental Cooperation at the Institute for Citizen-Centred Service, Yannick works at the centre of Canada’s effort to strengthen cooperation across fourteen governments. His work brings partners together on shared priorities such as digital public infrastructure, digital sovereignty, cyber resilience, and responsible AI adoption.

Before joining ICCS, Yannick held senior leadership roles in the Government of Canada, working at the intersection of strategy, policy, service delivery, and digital transformation. Over his career, he has helped advance major public sector initiatives, including enterprise digital credentials, air cargo security, and passport modernization.

For Yannick, progress is ultimately about cooperation: relationships, shared capabilities, and practical mechanisms that help us build and deliver together.
