Jacklynn Pham is a designer & researcher with over fifteen years of experience across the public and private sector. She is currently working on improving public benefits delivery in the US with the New Practice Lab. The majority of her time in government has been spent on uncovering the end-to-end process, identifying impactful opportunities to act on, and helping the partner team move towards change in service design, policy, and technology.
Previously, she has worked for the Government of British Columbia, the US federal government through 18F, as a Senior Interaction Designer at Google, and as an independent design consultant. She has taught design for non-designers at Georgetown University Law Center and Carnegie-Mellon University.
Jacklynn believes design is most powerful when it’s in service to others, and has built her career around using it to drive meaningful change. That has led her into projects improving the social safety net, mental health access, civic rights reporting, and accessibility.
