Aura Cifuentes is a global leader in public innovation, digital transformation, and open government, with over eight years of experience in senior management roles in government, academia, and the private sector. As Colombia's former digital government director, Aura was a driving force behind many governmental initiatives aiming to foster the modernization of the public sector. She previously served as director of Colombia's Observatory of Transparency and Anticorruption and on the Public Innovation Team of the National Planning Department. She has been recognized as one of “31 influential young women in Colombian politics” by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Wom-en Foundation, while Apolitical and the WEF named her as one of the 50 most influential people navigating disruption in the world, in recognition of her work during the pandemic. Aura holds a BA in government and international relations from Externado University and a master in public affairs from Sciences Po Paris.
