In 2019, the Regional Digital Government Summit (RDGS) was created to explore the unique challenges facing municipal, provincial and state-level public service delivery teams. In the past five years, RDGS has emerged as a space for global teams to come together and really explore the possible impacts of emerging technologies and how local government teams are rising to the occasion. At a time when digital service units are now a dime a dozen, and legislative frameworks surrounding emerging technology are more robust, many questions still remain: How are global communities building regional teams? Can seed funding at the regional level bring transformative change? What are the challenges regional governments are facing and what does the future look like?
To celebrate five years of RDGS, we’re reflecting on what we’ve learned, introducing new perspectives and sharing the opportunities that lie ahead. Join leaders from Canada, US and beyond for what will be a thought-provoking hour in your FWD50 experience!
