Melanie Miles, Director, Enterprise Risk Office, Bank of Canada

Melanie Miles is an experienced Enterprise Risk Management professional with a diverse background in corporate communications, technical communications and training. Melanie has been with the Bank of Canada for over 10 years and is currently a Director in the Enterprise Risk Office leading broad risk analysis, monitoring, and reporting to risk committees and the Board of Directors.

Melanie’s risk management background includes leading a cyber risk assessment, the development of a cyber risk appetite and KRIs, and experience as a leader in security risk management. Melanie is passionate about the importance of clear, accessible, and actionable risk communication to inform strategic decision making.

Melanie holds a Master of Arts degree from York University and completed a Master Certificate in Risk Management and Business Performance Leadership from the Schulich School of Business.
