Amanda Bernardo (she/her)

Transformation Leader, focused on the people side of change, Government of Canada

Amanda is a cross-functional public servant, based in Ottawa, Ontario, working with the Government of Canada in areas such as public policy, project management, change management, and stakeholder engagement. The bulk of her career to date has largely focused on advancing the government’s digital agenda, most notably leading files such as the Next Generation HR and Pay Initiative to replace the legacy Phoenix pay system; upskilling federal public servants with the launch of the CSPS Digital Academy; and, supporting the co-development and implementation of the ArriveCAN mobile application as part of the pandemic response.

Amanda is currently leading a team at Shared Services Canada responsible for advancing the organization’s enterprise transformation agenda, particularly focusing on the people side of change. To drive more successful change adoption, Amanda is working to enhance change management capacity while driving home the importance of feedback and it’s integration for project success.

When Amanda is not working, she is a passionate volunteer, community builder and advocate, supporting causes such as mental health.
