The UK government is significantly increasing its investment in a “test and learn” approach to improve policy and service delivery. Test and learn describes an approach which:
Is oriented around outcomes, and closes the gap between policy and delivery
Is evidence-led, focused on learning and improving through doing
Prioritizes understanding user needs, building something quickly, testing with people, and improving based on what is learnt
Grows an evidence base of what works for others to build on.
