Chief Operating Officer, Canadian Digital Service (CDS)

John is a co-founder and currently the Chief Operating Officer of the Canadian Digital Service. In this role, John leads CDS's enabling areas of talent, tech infrastructure and security, and policy agenda that help drive the organization's mandate forward.

Prior to this, John played a senior leadership role in several Government of Canada service delivery initiatives, led the development and implementation of the first federal Policy on Service, as well as cross-Canada public consultations that culminated in the creation of CDS as Canada’s national digital service. John has represented Canada on many occasions, including on the OECD Working Party of Senior Digital Government Officials and Digital Nations.
