Shubhangi Heda (She/her)

PhD candidate and sessional academic, Queensland University of Technology

Shubhangi is a media and tech policy researcher. She has been part of the CMO for about three years and has worked as an India researcher. She has also previously worked with think thanks in India on data governance, content regulations and privacy issues. Broadly, her research interest includes intersection of policy studies, political economy and media studies Currently, she is a Doctoral Candidate at the Digital Media Research Centre and School of Communication, Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia. Her doctoral thesis evaluates emergence of streaming services in non-western contexts and their entanglement with regimes of content controls.
